The concept of minimalism is one that is lost on many, but
the philosophy is quite sound. It basically speaks to a desire to live
in such a way that requires as few physical possessions as possible. It
may or may not include living in a small home designed for efficiency
over space. The guiding principal behind this philosophy is that life,
and everything within it, functions much more smoothly and optimally
without any of the clutter that commonly gets in the way and ends up
becoming garbage in one form or another. People who live a minimalistic
lifestyle are generally happier because they have fewer distractions.
Another great thing about minimalism is that it is cheap. An average income, when offset with a minimalistic lifestyle, can create a situation where saving is not only possible, but an inevitable side effect. This creates more opportunity for freedom. The idea of minimalism isn't exactly new, but the majority of the civilized world has been devoured by such rampant consumerism that the simple things are no longer appreciated in the same way. The good news is that some people are starting to wake up and realize that living in such a world isn't sustainable, regardless of how it affects the planet.
It is quite possible to live an entirely comfortable life without much excess, and that truth is starting to spread through certain industries. The home market, for example, has responded by creating tiny homes. Manufactures have started to build products for that clientele because there are enough customers to warrant such action. Most people are surprised to see that something can be functional on a level greater than a flashy product without any of the bells and whistles, but those products tend to be the best because the manufacturers put more effort into the actual function of the item and not the flash.
The vaporizer industry has even seen such progress with the Linx Hypnos Zero Vaporizer. This device is the vaping minimalist's dream. It is made from medical-grade stainless steel, glass, and ceramic, and it is designed for use with botanical concentrates. The exterior of the device is a beautiful yet simple brushed steel with a small emblem of the Linx logo on the base of the battery. It has a rechargeable lithium-ion battery which saves on waste, and it essentially embodies the idea of highly functional minimalism in every way.
